About Lerin

Hello! My name is Lerin, and I’m passionate about helping students achieve their full potential in English. With an A* in both English Language and Literature at GCSE and A-Level, alongside years of tutoring experience, I understand the challenges students face and how to overcome them. My approach is professional, supportive, and tailored to your individual needs, whether you're preparing for 11+ exams, GCSEs, or simply looking to improve your skills. I want to teach because I believe that confidence in English unlocks doors to success in education and beyond. Together, we’ll make learning enjoyable and impactful, ensuring you’re well-prepared for any academic challenge. Please get in touch if you have any questions or queries!

About the lesson

**Teaching Methodology and Techniques:** I take a personalised, student-focused approach, tailoring each lesson to the unique needs and learning styles of my students. For English tutoring, I combine structured exercises with creative techniques to develop skills in reading comprehension, essay writing, and critical thinking. I use a mix of past papers, engaging texts, and interactive activities to make lessons both effective and enjoyable. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel confident to ask questions and explore new ideas. **Typical Length of a Lesson:** Lessons typically last 1-2 hours, striking a balance between focused learning and maintaining student engagement. For younger students or intensive exam preparation, I can adjust the length as needed. **Qualifications and Experience:** I achieved A* grades in English Language and Literature at the GCSE level (10A*s at GCSE), reflecting my strong grasp of the subject. With years of experience tutoring English at GCSE level and for 11+ exams, I have successfully helped students improve their skills, confidence, and grades. I also bring professional expertise in communication and analysis, which further enhances my teaching. **Who the Lessons Are For:** My lessons are ideal for students aged 10-1, preparing for **11+ exams, GCSEs, or individuals seeking to strengthen their English skills. Whether your goal is to master grammar, improve creative writing, or excel in literature analysis, I work with students of all abilities to unlock their potential and achieve their academic goals.
