My teaching methods would be making sure the kid has a good understanding on what the word means and how to pronounce it, I will make sure the kid is comfortable with moving on to the next part. My typical lesson plan will be tiny word starters, very easy words that they can get in less than 10 minutes, then I will have more words that they will have to write and sound out and use it in a sentence.
