About Bożena

Hello! I'm glad you made it here, it is probably not a coincidence. Because they are simply none in life. At this point, I usually present and describe bits and pieces my professional path that will allow you to have more or less an idea of who I am, where I do come from, what is the source of what I do. After graduating from English Studies in Warsaw and Belfast, I have taught English and ukulele for 10 years. (You can easily guess that there was no such faculty as ukulele music - just after I started playing the ukulele myself, I found that I could also teach.) For years, I worked with many people, from 2-yr-old to elderly people who treated playing an instrument or learning a language as something absolutely for themselves. But I also wanted my students to feel the desire to share what they do - I encouraged them to compose their own songs, put them on YouTube, I performed with them on one stage in the club, at the Open Mics. It was a beautiful experience. But a moment of huge change has come. It was a moment of not only rebuilding my professional career, but also my whole life, from the ground up to the ceiling. I am covered in paint all the time, but I do not stop;) One of these changes was the giving up English lessons, or rather those that derived from the need of being "better and better", in favor of activities that simply open up the space for good changes. Usually the most important of these changes is to love your voice, and the inevitable side effect is to love yourself. I've always wanted to teach singing, but I was limited by thinking that I needed to complete such-and-such course, be "someone", be "ready". That way, I never felt ready. Until then I just started. Maybe you also need... just to start?

About the lesson

In my teaching method, I combine many methods learned and worked out during dozens of hours of workshops, singing circles, intuitive singing classes, etc. For me, the most important thing is grounding, that is, practices that ground, connect with yourself, with being in the here and now. I also run through many meditation and breathing techniques that, although they can be so simple and accessible, are things we forget in the everyday world between coffee and cleaning. I try to offer exercises that can be performed anywhere, at any time of the day, even on the bus, if the understanding of a fellow passenger allows :) Although with the word self-development being so trendy nowadays, I create space for the voice to open freely, develop, but also .. . to roll up. So that you can feel it both outside and inside. Of course, there is also space to work with the interpretation of any song, song, or to try to create and arrange your own song - including learning guitar / ukulele / piano accompaniment.
