About Thomas

I am a data professional with 5 years' experience working in industry. I have worked as a business analyst, performance analyst and research analyst. I have a level 4 qualification in data analysis.
I am also a massive nerd and love all things board games and tabletop RPGs. I have run multiple TTRPG games as the dungeon master, with one game lasting nearly three years and taking the players from level 1 to level 17.
I am also a lifelong martial artist and have put coaching plans together for classes and individuals.
I think that these experiences put me in the perfect place to help teach you the core concepts of data analysis and the social dynamics of work in an interactive way that you can talk about as if they were real life experience.

About the lesson

My lessons are for those looking to gain an edge in interviews for apprenticeship and junior positions. We will work through core data concepts to ensure you have all the skills a hiring manager is looking for.

We will go beyond this though, and this is where it gets fun!

Having worked in industry I know that the lived life of a data analyst can be different to how things are delivered on a training course. Tricky stakeholders, poor data quality and inheriting bad processes are the order of the day!

You will gain a great proxy for life experience on the job by working through my scenarios. We will work to articulate the lessons learned in these scenarios in a Power BI dashboard C.V and get some interview practice in.

After we have worked together you will be in a position where a hiring manager has no choice but to pick you for that first data job!
