About Hannah

Since 2015, I have been teaching and tutoring students in English, ESL (English as a Second Language), and History (American and World). I have experience teaching all groups of students (elementary, middle/high school, and college) in formal and informal settings. My students thoroughly enjoy my classes because I always make the lessons engaging and comprehensible. I will always go the extra mile when asked for clarification or additional help. This is the mentality and work ethic I bring to every lesson, and I will do everything in my power to make learning a pleasant experience. Furthermore, I always change my teaching methodologies and practices depending on the subject and student's individual needs.

I am passionate about teaching because I firmly believe that education is an essential component to a successful life; therefore, I want to benefit the students I work with as much as possible by providing them with the tools, skills, and confidence to help them succeed.

When I receive a new student, I always try to get to know him or her during the first session. I ask several different questions regarding their studies, school habits, and aspirations in order to better understand him or her and to create a positive learning environment. Once I understand a student's strengths and weaknesses, I will compile resources and supplementary work to help him or her improve in his or her designated area.

I have experience working with students of all ages from around the world. I have taught South Korean elementary and high school students in ESL; American middle and high school students in English and History; Rwandan elementary, middle, and high school students in ESL, English, and Literature; and Bangladeshi elementary and college-level students in ESL and History.
