About Brittany

When learning math is SOUR, Kandi Kraze will make it SWEET! I am Brittany Black, math teacher and founder of Kandi Kraze LLC. I am a FUN math teacher, tutor, and coach with experience sending students to WIN state and regional math competitions! Since starting teaching in 2017, I have raised state standardized test scores and received merit pay! All of this has occurred in my first year of teaching! As a former instructor in Pharmacy Technician Certification, I have taught at a technical college; in addition to this, public, charter, and the Baton Rouge Catholic Diocese school systems. I have also tutored in after-school programs for six years at various elementary and middle schools. I am an alumna of AmeriCorps and Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, LA, with a B.S. in Microbiology and a Chemistry minor.

At Kandi Kraze LLC, I provide private virtual Kandi Bowl Math Classes, Kandi Dish Math Tutoring, and Coaching for 1st-8th graders! Kandi Kraze was founded to provide personalized, quality, affordable, and convenient math services and resources to parents for students who need remediation access, get on grade level and get ahead. With classroom experience, research, technology, and continuous professional development, Kandi Kraze’s mission is always to implement resources to tailor what is needed for students to be knowledgeable and confident in mathematics. Furthermore, Kandi Kraze applies math to life, real-world scenarios, other core subjects, and students' interests within our services and video content on social media in Licorice Lessons and Math Sweets.

Get Ready! Get Set! SWEET, FUN, and rich private personalized math classes for your 1st-8th grader to build confidence and fill in learning gaps are provided with this service!

Perfect for ongoing private lessons, assistance with math lessons for homeschoolers and traditional learners! Any learner who needs remediation, ready to get ahead, or wants to master a new math skill taught by a teacher at the learner's pace!

Consistent Kandi Bowl Math Classes, even as little as one per week or more, all learning gaps are filled with this service by following your private math teacher's recommended action plan.

Lessons are tailored for your child's pace but will propel your child to get on track, maintain grade level, or get ahead with remediation and learning a NEW skill.

In a traditional learning setting, students may be prone to distractions or interruptions from peers or administrative tasks beyond the teacher's control. This shortens the time needed for instruction and learning. With Kandi Kraze's Kandi Bowl Math Class, your child will have our complete attention, and the lesson is the main focus! We will bring you and your learner sweet relief knowing that what was missed will be covered, and new skills will be learned!

FULL reports sent to parent email to include the following:
1. What was covered during the session.

2. Observation

3. Plan of Action (including additional printable and online practice and study materials for remediation, reinforcement, or to get ahead for five days). Parents are welcomed and encouraged to schedule as many sessions as desired to propel their child ahead.

4. Online practice recommended is provided teacher monitored.

5. A test with an answer key may be available upon request to email to parents. Kandi Kraze is not responsible for grade keeping. Kandi Kraze provides data on your child's progress with reports and diagnostics as often as the teacher recommends, based on the consistency of attending the Kandi Bowl Math Class.

6. The best results are desired by following the Plan of Action recommended by the teacher.

*IXL membership is maintained with consistent Kandi Bowl Math Classes or Kandi Dish II Tutoring Services. Subject to change. Parents will be notified.

*Parents who choose their curriculum must provide the lesson to Kandi Kraze via email on the day class is booked.

Parents are to send clear pictures via email or MMS (pictures) of paper-based homework/study guide assignments to the tutor or notify the tutor if there are no assignments as soon as possible before the session.
Students may do a screen share on Zoom of online-based materials are provided by parent/student.
If available, homework assignments and/or test preparations (study guides) are done first. The remaining time will be provided by the tutor based on the current lesson covered for skills of remediation if needed, reinforcement of what should have been learned, or a glance ahead to what skill comes next.
