That's not a coincidence — that's a pattern. And once you start seeing it, Spanish stops feeling like a foreign language and starts feeling like a code you already know how to crack.

English and Spanish share over 5,000 words through their Latin roots. Words you use every day in English that are already Spanish — you just never made the connection.

That connection is exactly what I teach.
No grammar tables. No apps. No starting from zero. Just patterns that make sense — because your brain already recognises them.

I'm Walter, originally from Colombia. I lived in Spain for nearly 20 years before moving to London 9 years ago.

When I arrived in London, I had to learn English from scratch — no academy, no classroom, no textbook. My method was the street, the people, and years of listening from the driver's seat of an Uber. That experience taught me something that changed everything: languages don't have to be learnt from zero. They can be unlocked.

I noticed that English and Spanish share thousands of words through Latin roots. Words that English speakers already use every day without realising they are already Spanish.
*Dormant comes from dormir.
*Nocturnal comes from noche.
*Carnival comes from carne.
Once you see the connection, you can't unsee it.
That insight became a method. And that method is what I teach.

I work with adults — professionals, expats, travellers — who have tried to learn Spanish before and feel stuck. People who studied at school and feel like they've forgotten everything. People who have a Spanish-speaking partner or family and can't yet connect with them in their language.

What I bring is 52 years of life across three countries, a genuine understanding of what it feels like to be lost in a language, and a method built from what actually works — not from what looks good in a textbook.

About the lesson

Most people who try to learn Spanish hit the same wall — apps, classes, immersion trips — and still freeze when someone speaks to them. The problem is never the student. It's the method.

My lessons are built on one insight: English and Spanish share thousands of words through Latin roots. The Spanish you need is already inside your English. You just haven't been shown where it is.

In every session we work on three things:
Logic Spotting — I show you the Spanish words already living inside your English vocabulary, through discovery, not word lists.

Pronunciation correction — with a simple tissue test, I show you exactly why you sound English when you speak Spanish, and how to fix it in minutes.

Real output from day one — you build and say complete sentences in your very first session, not after weeks of theory.
Sessions are 60 minutes, online or in person in South London — Crystal Palace, Dulwich, Beckenham.

I work with adults who've tried to learn Spanish before and got stuck. Beginners, intermediates who feel blocked, and professionals or expats who need Spanish for real life.

Your first session is free. A 30-minute Logic Audit where I map exactly where you are and prove you already know more Spanish than you think. You'll leave with at least three phrases you couldn't say when you arrived.
