About Gary
West End, TV, film and theatre actor. National and international musical theatre tours, national play tours and TV roles. I have also run a youth theatre in the past for fifteen years teaching young people to act and sing. A degree in drama and a mountain of experience. I’ve worked with some of the biggest names in television, film and theatre. I’ve played many roles as well as training hundreds of people in stage craft and performance. Coaching students through their exams and auditions. I teach acting technique, script interpretation and voice. I can also provide invaluable education in what it is to be an actor: agents, casting directors, fees, tax, touring life and anything an aspiring actor might need to know before they begin their career. Learn from a genuine working performer.
Currently touring with “I Should Be So Lucky”, the Stock Aitken Waterman musical, until May 2024. While on tour I teach online when not able to get home.

I like my lessons to be relaxed and fun and at my pupil’s pace. I will help with all aspects of speech and performance: vocal production and diction, interpretation and character, confidence and stature. No two students are the same so each lesson is tailored to the individual. A first lesson would involve getting to know each other and would be for me to assess your abilities, strengths and where I can help through reading together, vocal exercises and relaxation techniques . For very young students we might work on short poems or speeches to teach projection and build confidence. More advanced students looking to perform will involve close text work and character discussion.

Details
I will charge £2 a mile, after the first two miles, on top of the hourly rate if I need to drive to you. I’m happy to give online coaching. For lessons at my home a parent or guardian must be present at all times.
