About Wenjing

Hi! I’m Wenjing, a native Chinese speaker from Chengdu—the land of pandas and spicy hotpot! I’ve always loved languages and connecting with people from different cultures, which is why I’m excited to share my mother tongue with you. I’ve lived in Canada for four years and have been in London for the past two, so I understand the challenges (and fun!) of learning a new language in a different environment. My experiences have helped me develop a patient and adaptable teaching style, making sure my lessons are engaging, practical, and tailored to your needs. Beyond teaching, I love travelling, gaming, dancing, and hiking. Whether it’s exploring new places, discussing your favourite games, or chatting about outdoor adventures, I believe learning should be fun and connected to real-life interests. I used to be a volunteer Chinese teacher in Malaysia, so I know that language learning can feel challenging—but don’t worry! I’m here to support and encourage you every step of the way. Let’s learn, laugh, and explore Chinese together!

About the lesson

Hi! I’m Wenjing, a native Chinese speaker from Chengdu. My lessons are interactive, tailored to your needs, and designed to make learning Chinese both effective and enjoyable! Teaching Methodology & Techniques: I offer two types of classes: HSK-Based Lessons – Structured learning following HSK textbooks, covering vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing, and listening to help you pass exams or build a strong foundation. Casual Speaking Classes – Focused on conversational Chinese, pronunciation, and real-life topics to improve fluency and confidence. Ideal for those who want a relaxed learning experience! Lesson Length: Each session is 50-60 minutes, allowing enough time for practice and feedback. My Experience & Qualifications: I hold an MA from King’s College London, have experience in CN-EN translation, and was a volunteer Chinese teacher in Malaysia. My approach is patient, engaging, and adaptable to different learning styles. Who Can Join? My lessons are for all levels and ages—whether you’re preparing for HSK, or just want to chat in Mandarin, I’ve got you covered! Let’s start this exciting language journey together!
