About Barbara

I was born and raised in Belgium, a tiny country in Europe that is bilingual (French-Dutch). Due to my husband's job, I have moved all over the world and lived in many different places from Italy to Australia. We have been living in the US since 2016. Apart from being bilingual in French and Dutch, I speak fluent English as well.

I went to college for 6 years and graduated with 2 bachelor degrees. One in tourism - where my love for history started and one in marketing. I have worked in accounting for most of my life, but my passion has always been teaching. Getting education across and seeing kids thrive at school in difficult courses is what makes me happy

About the lesson

I teach French for all different levels and different needs. I have been teaching adults that are new to a second language and just interested in conversational French or need to learn French for a specific reason, but I also teach students that need to succeed in an AP or IB exam. Depending on your needs, my teaching methods and sources will differ. I cater to your needs.
