About Joshua
Hi, I’m Joshua! I recently completed an MSc in Economics at the University of Warwick, achieving an average of 81% across my taught modules, after previously studying Economics at the University of Bristol.
I’ve always loved understanding how people make decisions, solve problems and think strategically, which is what first drew me to economics. My favourite areas include microeconomics, game theory and econometrics because they combine logical thinking with real-world decision making.
I decided to become a tutor because I enjoy helping others reach those “lightbulb moments” when a difficult concept suddenly makes sense. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a student grow in confidence and begin to enjoy a subject they once found intimidating.
Whether you’re preparing for GCSEs, A-Levels or university, I’ll provide a friendly, supportive environment where you’re encouraged to ask questions, challenge ideas and develop the confidence to succeed.

I believe students learn best by exploring ideas rather than simply memorising them. My lessons are highly interactive and designed to make economics engaging, encouraging students to think critically, ask questions and discover concepts for themselves.
Rather than relying on passive revision, I use practical activities wherever possible. For example, when teaching game theory, students don’t just read about strategic interactions—they take part in them, role-playing games and making real decisions before analysing the underlying theory together. This helps transform abstract concepts into something intuitive and memorable.
Every lesson is tailored to the individual student, whether they’re aiming to build confidence, strengthen their understanding of challenging topics or achieve the highest grades. My goal is not just to improve exam performance, but to develop genuine curiosity and a lasting understanding of economics.
