About Yash

Hey! My name is Yash, and I am currently studying for a Mathematics BSc at the University of Warwick. I have always enjoyed problem-solving and helping others understand challenging concepts, which is why I am passionate about teaching Maths. With the completion of the Kumon Maths programme and experience as an Academic Support Tutor, I have developed the skills to explain concepts clearly and adapt to different learning styles. I want to tutor because I believe Maths should feel accessible and rewarding, not intimidating. During my own time at A-levels, I found university content inaccessible and I hope to bridge this gap for any keen/high-level students. My aim is to build students’ confidence, improve their exam performance, and show them that with the right approach, success in Maths is within reach.

About the lesson

I offer 1-1 online zoom/teams sessions where we can collaborate on mathematics through the use of tools like online whiteboards. - I encourage students to explain their reasoning so they develop deeper understanding, not just memorisation. - Past papers and exam-style practice are a key part of my sessions, helping students gain confidence with real questions. My lessons are aimed at GCSE and A-level students (all exam boards: Edexcel, AQA, OCR) who want to: - Strengthen core Maths skills - Build confidence in problem solving - Prepare for exams (Edexcel, AQA, OCR) - Improve their grades and overall understanding Typical lessons will last 60 minutes (however I am flexible to your needs). Sessions usually include a short recap, focused practice on key topics, and exam-style questions at the end. I also provide tips for revision and how to manage time effectively in exams. Whether Maths feels like a challenge or is already your strongest subject, all you need is curiosity and commitment — together we can work towards achieving your goals.
