About Lola

I am an ESL tutor with over 4 years of experience teaching high school and college students. During this time, I have had the privilege of teaching 150-200 students, each with unique goals, learning styles, and challenges. My passion for education drives me to create lessons that are not only effective but also engaging and meaningful.

I believe learning English is about more than grammar and vocabulary—it’s about communication, confidence, and connection. I focus on developing speaking, writing, reading, and listening skills through real-life examples, interactive exercises, and practical activities.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my career has been witnessing students grow from hesitant speakers to confident communicators. Seeing them succeed in exams, deliver presentations, or simply participate in class discussions for the first time are milestones I cherish deeply.

I aim to create a supportive, encouraging, and positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and discovering the joy of learning. Teaching ESL is not just my profession—it is my passion, and I am committed to helping every student reach their full potential in English and beyond.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology is interactive, practical, and student-focused. I use real-life examples and case studies to make English lessons meaningful, helping students understand how to communicate effectively in daily life, academics, and professional scenarios.

I emphasise motivation, encouraging students to stay engaged, set achievable goals, and enjoy learning. I also include problem-solving, teaching learners strategies to overcome difficulties in grammar, vocabulary, speaking, and writing.

Integrity is a cornerstone of my approach. I provide honest feedback, foster a supportive and safe environment, and maintain transparency. I also practise flexibility, tailoring lessons to each student’s pace, interests, and learning style.

Beyond ESL, I teach related subjects such as communication skills, study techniques, and professional English to enhance learning. My goal is to help students gain confidence, practical language skills, and the ability to communicate successfully in real-life situations.
