About Andrew
I’m a professional artist and have been a Professor of Art at Valencia College in Orlando, FL, since 2001. I hold a BFA degree from the University of Central Florida and an MFA degree from the University of Florida. Over the past 20+ years, I’ve created exercises/lessons in my classes that I want to pass on to you. With these exercises, your observational skills will improve, and so your drawings will improve. I believe that anyone can learn to draw, but only if you are committed and willing to do the exercises.

Lessons are for any level student and will be focused on observational exercises to help students practice and to help “see” what they are drawing. Some key concepts will be Gesture, Line, Proportions, Perspective and Tone/Values. Learning to draw is similar to playing a sport or instrument it requires commitment and practice!
