About Gillian

I taught 6th and 7th grade ELA for years, and now work in an independent high school on the administrative side! A Villanova alum, I have degrees in English and Secondary Education, and I earned Master's degrees in Child Ed Grade 1-6 and Special Education. I am certified in teaching Special Education, Grades 1-6, and Grades 7-12 English Language Arts. I have been tutoring students in grades 3-10 in Math and ELA for years and find so much joy in seeing students grow in knowledge and confidence. When not at school, I love to walk in Central Park, read historical fiction, bake new recipes, and watch sports with my husband! I am located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. I prefer that we meet in my building's workspace. If you are in the area, I can travel to you. We can also meet virtually!

About the lesson

I'll take time to get to know your learning style & what helps concepts click! I keep learning engaging and multimodal. I am all about helping students grow in confidence in the classroom. With certifications in Gr 1-6 Education and Special Education, I am ready to help your middle schooler with math this summer! Let's review concepts from this year, then preview concepts you will learn in the fall!
