About Victoria

Hey! My name is Victoria Bhardwaj and I'm currently a second year student at McMaster University. Outside of school, I love baking, spending time with my dog, and staying active at the gym. I’ve taught mental math, English, and French for several years, and teaching has always been something very special to me. I started teaching when I was a young teen and quickly realized how much I enjoyed helping others learn and build their confidence. I hope to continue sharing my love for learning and helping students feel more comfortable and confident with French!

About the lesson

My teaching style is structured, engaging, and adapted to each student’s individual needs. Having been in French immersion myself, I understand how important it is to build confidence in all four areas of French: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. I like to create structured lesson plans that make sure each area is covered while still keeping lessons interesting and interactive. I use PowerPoints, books, real-life scenarios, conversations, activities, and practice exercises to help students use French in ways that feel practical and enjoyable. A typical lesson may include a short review, a new topic or skill, guided practice, and activities that allow the student to apply what they have learned. I also provide support with homework, assignments, tests, and any areas where a student may need extra help. My goal is to make French feel less intimidating and help students become more confident and comfortable using the language.
