About Luyi
I am a Chinese iternational student just graduated from university of sydney. Having been writing poets and articles for Chinese media, I am sophiscated in both the Chinese language and the way to explain and teach it. Unlike other native speakers who have nothing but muscle memories of the language, I reflect on the language I use and approaches the meanings and origin of words logically. Hence, I would not be spoon feeding or simply asking the student to memorise things, but always trying to break things down and show them the essence.

My teaching method is highly individualized. Depend on the student's needs, I will plan the course to be either a dense and practical one (for those who need basic Chinese skills urgently), or basic and solid grammar building (for who needs a great foundation in Chinese). I am a vibrant person with sense of humor, and dislike traditional rigid way of teaching, so is always trying to make my courses enjoyable and let my students have a taste of the beauty of this language.
