About Amadi

I love igniting and growing the spark in others for music. Through Voice and Artist Development lessons. My love for singing began at the age of 12 years old when I discovered songwriting. This is where I discovered my voice. My life was forever changed. I began working on my first demos and performing around the Charlotte, NC area. This love led me to participate in Berklee College of Music's 5 Summer program via scholarship at the age of 16. This experience enhanced my love for the craft and led me to study under greats like Jackie Hairston (En Vogue Vocal Coach) and Nicci Gilbert (Lead Singer of Brownstone). I went on to pursue a degree in music at South Carolina State University where I added Piano to my music arsenal. After 4 years, I received my Bachelor of Arts in Music Industry. After receiving my Bachelor's Degree, I started my piano and voice instruction career at the South Fulton Art Center as a Piano and Voice Instructor in Atlanta, GA. I would go on to serve as a Piano and Voice instructor of Ken Stanton Music, Imagine Arts, and more throughout the course of my career. In addition to building my career as an instructor, I started making a name for myself as a local artist and performer on the Atlanta Music Scene performing at venues such as Terminal West, Centennial Park, Apache Cafe, and more. After leaving those establishments I decided to continue my mission to develop the next music innovators and leaders under my own company, The Acapella Group where we created a special workout and regimen for Vocal Artists called Vocal Aerobics which went on to sell out workshops in Atlanta and NYC. Once that business partnership dissolved, I continued my mission with my own imprint, Retrolite Society where I've had the privilege of instructing, guiding, and mentoring artists, pianists, producers, and songwriters. This mission has allowed me the privilege of watching my piano and voice students reach career milestones, being nominated for and winning Grammy awards for their songwriting and production. I've also had the privilege of preparing a few of my clients for national tours and appearances and musical releases. I look forward to continuing the mission of developing the next music innovators and leaders with you. See you at your next lesson.

About the lesson

Igniting and Developing your full potential as a singer is my passion.

I am a vocal and artist development coach that specializes in developing your voice and artistry in a healthy way. It is my goal to not only bring the best out of your voice sonically but to also ensure your voice continues to improve over time, ensuring longevity.

I use holistic and classic vocal training techniques to ensure this goal is reached. Combining vocal technique training, physical conditioning, and health & wellness to ensure that your voice and body are working at its optimal level as both go hand in hand.

A typical lesson Is treated like a workout. We treat the voice with tender love and care and ensure we pace ourselves through the lesson that promotes improvement and results.

My ability to help each student realize their full potential is one of the few attributes that set me apart from other coaches. Another, is my approach. In our lessons, we are not only building the voice, we are building your physical strength, performance, confidence, and overall health. I care about the overall wellness and health of each student which will essentially reflect in their vocal performance and delivery.

All levels and genres welcomed ages 11 and up.
