About Kyla

I have 12 years of experience teaching singing and hold a Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance. My training spans classical technique, contemporary vocal styles, and performance psychology, allowing me to help students develop a balanced, versatile voice.

I have worked with beginners building foundational skills as well as advanced students preparing for recitals, competitions, and auditions. My teaching emphasizes patience, encouragement, and individualized guidance to ensure each student can progress at their own pace while mastering technique and artistic expression.

Teaching singing is profoundly rewarding because it allows me to witness students transform technical practice into expressive, heartfelt performance. Seeing learners gain confidence, communicate emotion, and perform with presence inspires me to continually refine lessons that balance skill, artistry, and emotional connection. My ultimate goal is to guide students in discovering their authentic vocal voice while fostering joy, discipline, and musical creativity.

About the lesson

My singing lessons are designed to nurture both the technical and expressive aspects of the voice. Each session focuses on breath control, vocal placement, resonance, tone quality, and smooth registration transitions. I guide students through exercises for range expansion, articulation, phrasing, and pitch accuracy, emphasizing proper vocal health and sustainable technique to prevent strain or injury.

I integrate repertoire from various genres including classical, contemporary, jazz, and musical theater, allowing learners to apply techniques in real musical contexts. Lessons include interpretation, stylistic nuance, and emotional storytelling, helping students communicate meaning and connect with listeners. I provide consistent, constructive feedback and personalized exercises to strengthen skills progressively.

Advanced learners focus on audition preparation, performance readiness, and expressive artistry. Lessons include stage presence, improvisation, vocal embellishments, and ensemble collaboration. My goal is to empower students to approach singing with confidence, convey emotion authentically, and perform with professionalism while developing a lifelong connection to their voice and music.
