About Jolene
My passion for singing emerged during my childhood, inspired by the expressive power of the human voice. I pursued a B.Mus in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy, gaining a comprehensive foundation in vocal technique, repertoire, and teaching methodology. Over the past 8 years, I have worked with learners of all ages, from beginners discovering their vocal potential to advanced students preparing for performances and auditions. My approach emphasizes both technical proficiency and emotional expression, helping students become confident, versatile, and expressive vocalists.
I tailor lessons to the individual learner, combining structured exercises with creative exploration, guided practice, and performance feedback. I aim to create a supportive and encouraging environment, where students feel safe to take risks, explore their voice, and express themselves authentically.
Outside of teaching, I stay engaged with music through performance, vocal research, and exploration of different musical genres. Bringing real-world insight into the classroom enriches lessons and inspires students. Witnessing students grow from hesitant singers into confident, expressive performers is profoundly rewarding. My mission is to nurture technical skill, artistic expression, and a lifelong love for singing.

Instruction is tailored to each student’s level and goals. Beginners learn posture, breathing, pitch accuracy, and simple songs to build confidence. Intermediate students refine tone control, vocal agility, range extension, and expressive delivery. Advanced students focus on performance readiness, advanced techniques such as vibrato and melisma, stylistic interpretation, and emotional storytelling through music. Each lesson includes guided practice, feedback, exercises, and performance opportunities to ensure steady progress and skill integration.
Beyond technical training, singing lessons foster self-confidence, emotional awareness, and artistic creativity. Students learn to express themselves, connect with their audience, and develop resilience and focus. My goal is to help learners gain confidence, master vocal technique, and cultivate a lifelong love for singing and musical expression.
