About Mary
I have 12+ years of experience teaching Spanish to school and college students, and I am passionate about making language learning simple, enjoyable, and effective. I believe that students learn best when they actively participate, practise regularly, and understand how the language is used in real life.
My classes combine structured learning with creative activities. I use conversation exercises, storytelling, flashcards, videos, interactive worksheets, pronunciation practice, and everyday examples to help students understand difficult topics with ease. I encourage students to speak Spanish from the beginning, helping them build confidence naturally while improving fluency.
Apart from Spanish language lessons, I also teach grammar, vocabulary, listening skills, reading comprehension, writing techniques, pronunciation, conversation practice, cultural awareness, beginner to intermediate Spanish, and examination preparation. I design lessons according to each student's strengths and learning goals, ensuring steady improvement throughout the course.
I maintain a friendly and encouraging learning environment where mistakes become valuable learning opportunities. Regular reviews, personalised feedback, and practical assignments help students remember concepts and apply them confidently.
My aim is to help students become independent learners who enjoy communicating in Spanish. Whether the goal is better academic performance, travel, or personal growth, I work closely with every student to help them achieve lasting success.

I use a student-centred methodology for teaching Spanish that emphasises motivation, communication, creativity, and time management. I motivate students by creating a supportive environment, understanding their goals, and celebrating achievements to maintain confidence and engagement.

Time management ensures lessons are structured, productive, and balanced, covering grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversation practice efficiently. I also guide students on organising their study and practice outside class.
Along with Spanish, I can teach related subjects such as grammar fundamentals, pronunciation, and language learning strategies. My goal is to provide a structured, enjoyable, and effective learning experience.
