About Jessica

I have been mentoring/tutoring for years.
I have been a camp counselor for Discovery Place, Charlotte Nature Museum and Community School of the Arts.
I have tutored children from 1st grade to College Juniors and have helped them improve their grades from D range to As.
I have also tutored kids for placement testing, end of year exams and SAT prep.

About the lesson

I am a senior at Virginia Tech obtaining my BS in Civil Engineering. I was the President of the Academy of Engineering in highschool and I have taken multiple AP courses including Calculus AB/BC, Physics, Language and Composition, Statistics, US History.

I give lessons to students K-12 in all subjects but specializing in math and physics. I am also very adaptable so my teaching style varies on the student and is tailored to the individual's learning style. I offer homework help, study/prep for tests and exams as well as review and help with test corrections.

I am very fun, I have many interests outside of academics (sports, fashion, tv, art, travel). I don't like to make schoolwork feel like a chore. I am an older sibling and cousin. I have worked with children for years mentoring and counseling, as well as working with a child literacy non-profit. I have experience teaching kids and helping them improve their grades and also develop an interest in learning.
