About Robin

I began violin studies at the age of six. At age 12, I began competing and won recognitions such as the Southwest Symphony Orchestra’s concerto competition, Northwest Indiana Symphony Youth Orchestra’s concerto competition, Chicago Music Festival in Honor of Confucius, and Illinois Music Association competition. I also performed as a soloist on 98.7 WFMT's show Introductions at age seventeen. As an adult I have performed in several groups including the Notre Dame Symphony Orchestra as concertmaster, and as a paid contract player in multiple orchestras including 3 consecutive years in the Clear Lake Symphony orchestra.

About the lesson

I love teaching violin students. Together we will learn posture, technique, music reading, and progress through repertoire. We will work through various drills for left- and right-hand posture, ear training, and bow control, then work through repertoire. Whether you're brand new to the instrument, coming back after some time, or switching from another instrument, I would love to work with you!
