About Amaia

I learned from the best teachers in Madrid and in Germany, where I currently live, after completing my studies and my master's degree specializing in violin at the Robert Schumann Music Academy. I also have a Masters Degree in Music Therapy, which allows me to work with people (both children and adults) with special needs through music. In the course of my musical career I have worked with numerous violinists and orchestras (currently I am a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Spain) and have given concerts in auditoriums all over the world (Spain, Germany, Holland, Cuba, China ...). I also give regular concerts with other musicians in chamber music groups. During my studies in Germany I received a scholarship from the German government for artistic achievements with the DAAD scholarship.

About the lesson

Since the beginning of my career I have been interested in pedagogy and have been teaching violin, music and movement as well as solfeggio for several years: first privately, then in various music schools, universities, kindergartens and hospitals. During my violin studies, I studied with different teachers of different techniques and schools (Suzuki, Russian school, or with teachers who specialize in baroque music, Spanish music, orchestral music, chamber music, etc.) and therefore I can use many different approaches in my teaching offer, depending on the needs of my students. I have experience with students of all ages (I've had students from 3 years to 70) and at different levels: both beginners and students who want to prepare for their Abitur exams, for example. For me, the most important thing is to tailor each class to the goals, learning pace, skills and needs of each individual student and to give everyone the best of me in order to get the most out of them. And of course that they enjoy the music and violin lessons. That is the best motivation.
