About Evan

Passionate violin tutor with 10 years of experience teaching students from school to college level. My love for music and education drives me to help students develop not just technical skills but also a deep connection with the violin. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of guiding students through various stages of their musical journey, from beginners to more advanced players, watching them grow and achieve their goals. One of the most rewarding milestones in my career was helping a student perform in their first concert, which sparked a passion for music they carried with them throughout their studies. I believe in creating an encouraging and supportive environment where students feel motivated and confident to explore their potential. Whether it’s preparing for exams, learning new pieces, or simply enjoying the process of playing, my goal is to inspire and empower my students to fall in love with the violin and develop a lifelong passion for music.

About the lesson

As a violin tutor with over 10 years of experience, my teaching methodology is rooted in Compassion, Real-Life Examples, Creativity, Flexibility, and Accountability. I believe that every student is unique, so I approach each lesson with patience and understanding, ensuring a comfortable environment where students feel safe to express themselves and grow at their own pace. I incorporate real-life examples and case studies to help students connect with the music they are learning, making concepts more relatable and easier to grasp. This helps bridge the gap between theory and practice, providing a deeper understanding of the violin and its role in different musical genres. Creativity is a key aspect of my approach. I encourage students to explore their musical ideas and experiment with various techniques, which helps them develop their individual style. Flexibility is also important, as I adapt my lessons based on the student's progress and goals, ensuring each lesson is effective and enjoyable. I hold students accountable for their progress while providing constructive feedback and support. In addition to violin, I also offer lessons in music theory and other related subjects, ensuring a well-rounded musical education. My goal is to inspire students and help them develop a true passion for playing the violin.
