About Tessa
I hold a Master’s degree in Music with a specialization in violin performance and have been teaching violin for over seven years. My background includes solo recitals, orchestral performances, and chamber music, giving me a well-rounded perspective that I bring into each lesson. I focus on nurturing both technical skill and emotional expression. My teaching is adaptable—I assess each student’s pace and adjust accordingly to ensure they feel encouraged, challenged, and supported. I value patience and consistency, knowing that meaningful progress in violin comes with time and dedication. Over the years, my students have developed strong playing foundations, performed confidently on stage, and earned top marks in exams. But what I value most is helping them connect deeply with the instrument and express their unique musical voice. I aim to make every lesson enriching and inspiring.

Each violin lesson is customized to meet your level and goals, beginning with posture, bow hold, and finger placement. We work through scales, simple melodies, and technical drills to build coordination, intonation, and muscle memory—essential foundations for solid, confident playing over time.
As you progress, we focus on vibrato, shifting, phrasing, and musical dynamics. Whether you’re studying classical pieces, folk tunes, or ensemble repertoire, lessons include both technique and interpretation. Sight-reading and rhythm exercises are also integrated to help you play fluently and expressively.
Every session includes guidance on structured practice habits, specific goals, and review strategies to track your improvement. Whether you're preparing for exams, performances, or playing for enjoyment, the lessons aim to support long-term growth while keeping your love for music alive and strong.
