About Astrid

I grew up in Vienna, where I fell in love with the sound of the violin and finally got my first violin lessons at the age of 7 in Berlin, followed by the piano, flute and other instruments. In the course of my musical career I have received lessons from many different teachers. I got to know Carl Flesch's violin school, studied the books of Kato Havas and internalized the teachings of Wolfgang Marschner. Most recently, I was shaped by the teaching of Prof. Natalia Pritshepenko at the University of Music in Dresden, where I studied. She is probably one of my greatest role models and is still an inspiration and source of learning for me today. I have been teaching violin in Dresden since 2014 in addition to my active work as a musician on various projects. My students benefit from the various teachers and the teaching approaches in violin technique that I have gotten to know in my life so far and this great and constantly growing wealth of experience.

About the lesson

My lessons are aimed at the following pupils:

Early support for music-gifted / interested children from 4 years of age Lessons for children, adolescents and adults / every age, every level

A separate adult class is being set up.

Regular pupil concerts if you have regular classes with me

If the basic skills are available and if desired, online lessons with webcam are possible.

The pieces learned in the lessons come from the classical, but also from the area of jazz / rock / pop.

My teaching methodology is growing on the accumulation of my own experiences through my teachers and their teaching, studying and teaching since 2014. I have developed a very own teaching style and a special teaching method that I use with all my students in order to achieve the best results and to ensure lasting enjoyment of the instrument. For example, fun and ease in practicing and playing are here two very important elements. My lessons are all about effective training, self motivation, goal setting and enjoyment in making music. In fact, there is no such thing as THE teaching method that I use. My teaching is built around the individual personality and needs of my pupil in a complex manner. The violin is said to be one of the most beautiful but at the same time most difficult instruments to learn. I cannot contradict that. However, in recent years I have been able to experience wonderful and sometimes surprising developments among students, so that I can now say with conviction that everything is possible if there is a will and if you have a goal. What the violin has learned to me is above all patience, discipline, powers of precice observation, self-awareness and many other wonderful things that I can use and apply for myself in other areas today. It has been quite some time now, that I saw, that learning and playing the violin is not only just a school of purely violin technical skills, but above all a school of life and learning to live.

The 70€ per hour are for only separate booked lessons. With contract, the cost are only 60€ per hour and there are 36 lessons in one year. There is also possible to make lessons that only have 30 minutes or 45, they will be less expensive then, then the one hour lessons.

The test hour costs 15€ and is to pay when we meet for the test lesson

She was quickly able to evaluate my level, identified my weaknesses. and need and found ways to build the course around them while still being able to make me practice on actual songs (which makes it very enjoyable). She is not only a talented artist but has also a gift for teaching. She is patient, motivating and can adapt to the students needs to ensure his/her growth.
Astrid taught me the violin in my native language (French) which helped me obviously learn more easily.
When the pandemic started, I continued to take lessons with her over Zoom/Skype. Also there, she is able to use the platform in order to ensure proper teaching. For example, she takes care of positioning the student so as to watch at his/her arm movements properly.

In summary, Astrid is a real teacher that can convey her passion of violin both in person and online. I can only recommend her as a superprof.

Ich spiele schon seit 12 Jahren Violine und hatte noch nie so gute Erfahrungen mit einer Lehrerin. Sie ist eine sehr nette und gute Lehrerin, mit Ihr lernt man schnell und sie wendet gute Methoden an.

Sie achtet auch sehr darauf das man den Spaß am Spielen nicht verliert, was mir persönlich sehr sehr wichtig ist.
Um das sicher zu stellen lässt sie Ihre Schüler oft mit entscheiden was sie spielen wollen.
Ich kann schon sehr gut Violine spielen, aber meiner Meinung nach lernt man nie aus :)

Ich beispielsweise entdecke neue Musikrichtungen, wie Beispielsweise Jazz und aktuelle Charts, welche ich jetzt spiele.

Ich empfehle Astrid sehr und mir macht es nach 2 Jahren immer noch sehr viel Spaß!
