About Colette
I am a violin tutor with 8 years of experience and a Master of Music in Violin Performance. I enjoy helping students discover that steady practice, proper guidance, and patience can transform their musical abilities over time.
My lessons are carefully adapted to each learner's goals and experience. I encourage students to ask questions, stay motivated, and develop confidence while learning both technique and musical expression.
Outside teaching, I enjoy performing chamber music, studying classical repertoire, and attending concerts. These experiences enrich my teaching and allow me to share practical musical knowledge with every student.

My violin lessons help students develop strong foundations while enjoying every stage of learning. We focus on posture, bow control, finger placement, rhythm, tone production, intonation, and listening skills using clear explanations and enjoyable practice activities. Every lesson encourages patience, confidence, and consistent improvement.
As learners become more comfortable, we study scales, shifting, vibrato, sight reading, expressive phrasing, and performance preparation. I also introduce visualization, relaxed practice methods, and musical interpretation that help students perform with greater confidence while reducing unnecessary tension.
My goal is to help students play the violin with confidence, accuracy, and genuine enjoyment. Every lesson develops musical expression, technical control, and appreciation for beautiful performances through supportive guidance and meaningful practice.
