About Julievette

I am a certified Spanish and Special Education teacher with 12+ years of classroom experience. I am also a wife and a mom of 3. My parents are originally from Puerto Rico and are native speakers so I grew up in a bilingual household. When I'm not teaching you can find me singing at church, cooking or baking.

I adapt my lessons to each learner’s goals and pace, whether that means focusing on grammar, building vocabulary, or improving fluency. I also incorporate visuals, real-life scenarios, and technology to make Spanish both practical and engaging. A Typical Lesson Plan A lesson usually begins with a short warm-up (like greetings, a quick review, or a fun question). Then we move into the day’s focus—this could be new vocabulary, a grammar concept, or a conversational theme. I provide guided practice through role-plays, games, or reading/listening exercises. Finally, students apply what they’ve learned in conversation or writing, and we end with feedback and a recap to track progress. What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor I bring over 12 years of experience teaching both Spanish and special education, which means I am highly skilled at tailoring lessons to different learning styles and needs. I’m patient, creative, and adaptable, making sure students feel confident and supported while still being challenged.
