About Baxter

I am a committed violin tutor with 8 years of teaching and professional experience. Music education is my passion, and I believe learning the violin helps students build confidence, patience, and self-discipline. Teaching allows me to guide students not only in music but also in personal growth.

I teach violin to school and college students at different levels. From beginners learning basic techniques to students preparing for performances, I support learners throughout their journey. One of the most important milestones in my career has been helping students move from simple exercises to confident stage performances.

My teaching method focuses on strong foundations. I guide students in correct posture, finger placement, bow control, rhythm, and tone quality. I also introduce basic music theory and listening skills to help students understand music better.

I believe every student learns differently. For this reason, I adapt my lessons to match each student’s pace and goals. I create a calm and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions.

Teaching violin gives me great satisfaction because I see students grow in confidence and ability. My goal is to inspire a lifelong love for music while helping students reach their full potential.

About the lesson

My teaching approach for violin focuses on motivation, communication, creativity, and integrity, aiming to inspire students to become confident, expressive musicians. I believe music education should be enjoyable, engaging, and tailored to each student’s personal goals.

I foster communication through active listening and open discussion, ensuring students understand techniques, theory, and performance practices. Motivation comes from setting achievable goals, tracking progress, and encouraging regular practice, helping students feel accomplished and inspired.

Creativity is central to my lessons. I encourage improvisation, composition, and interpretation exercises, helping students express themselves and enjoy their music. Integrity guides students to practise diligently, respect the learning process, and develop discipline, which is essential for long-term growth.

Besides violin, I teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, rhythm, and basic piano, providing a well-rounded musical foundation. My goal is to develop technically proficient, expressive, and motivated musicians who enjoy playing and performing, building a lifelong connection with music.
