About Maribel

Learning guitar is a lifelong journey, and I love guiding students at every stage of their musical development. With Master’s degrees in Music, I combine technical training, performance experience, and teaching expertise in every lesson. Lessons begin with core techniques like posture, finger placement, chord transitions, rhythm, strumming, and tone, then progress to improvisation, phrasing, and composition. Music theory is introduced practically, making it relevant and easy to apply. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s pace, goals, and style, fostering confidence, motivation, and creativity. I emphasise technical mastery, expressive playing, and performance readiness. Ear training, sight-reading, and performance practice are integral to developing well-rounded musicianship. Students explore multiple genres such as classical, jazz, rock, blues, and pop to broaden musical knowledge. I provide structured practice routines, feedback, and guidance to help learners overcome challenges. Milestones are celebrated to maintain motivation and reinforce progress. I encourage improvisation, composition, and personal expression to develop a unique musical voice. Lessons balance discipline, technical skill, and creativity for engaging learning experiences. Over time, students gain proficiency, confidence, and expressive artistry. Teaching guitar is more than instruction—it is mentorship, guidance, and artistic collaboration. My ultimate goal is to empower students to play creatively, confidently, and authentically. Every lesson is an opportunity to cultivate skill, artistry, and a lifelong passion for music.

About the lesson

Helping students discover their sound is what drives my passion as a guitar tutor. With formal training in Music at both the Master’s levels, I’ve developed a teaching style that balances artistry with precision. My lessons are designed to meet you where you are, whether you’re a beginner or an advanced player. I focus on clean technique, expressive tone, and musical confidence. Students learn everything from rhythm and chords to songwriting and soloing. I emphasise the importance of creativity—because playing guitar should feel as natural as speaking. My approach makes theory easy to understand by applying it directly to real songs. Each class is engaging, supportive, and goal-focused. I include improvisation and performance practice to encourage musical independence. I also help students build the mindset of a true musician—focused, patient, and inspired. My goal is to help you not just play guitar, but truly connect with it.
