About Ashley

I'm a passionate, outgoing person who brings energy and enthusiasm to everything I do, especially teaching and mentoring. After playing competitive soccer for 15 years, I transitioned my love for the game into coaching 4-8 year olds, where I learned how rewarding it is to encourage young learners and watch them grow. This experience taught me patience, creativity, and the joy of helping others develop confidence in their abilities. I love connecting with students in a way that makes learning feel approachable and fun, and I’m always excited to try new techniques tailored to each person. Let’s work together to reach you and your kiddo's goals!

About the lesson

As a Vanderbilt senior with experience as a calculus TA, assistant teacher, and Writing Studio tutor, I love creating an inclusive, supportive environment where students feel comfortable tackling tough topics. My sessions are all about asking guiding questions and letting students work through problems, building their confidence along the way. We’ll start by reviewing what they know, dive into new concepts with real-life examples, and work through challenges together. All my students have seen grade improvements and noticeable boosts in confidence, which makes teaching incredibly rewarding for me. I have experience working with students of all ages, from early elementary to college essay writing and ACT tutoring.
