I have spoken Viet all my life. It was my first language, and it is my primary language. I went to Vietnamese school to hone my reading and writing skills, and to learn more about the history of Viet Nam. I remember loving the lessons about Vietnamese food and geography as well as all the different male and female heroes of Viet Nam. I competed in a book writing contest 2 years ago and placed 2nd, and as a reward, my book was published and sold by NRCAL. Consequently, I then became Valedictorian of my Vietnamese Class with a grade point average of above 100%. I took a course at CSULB to receive an official certificate declaring my eligibility to teach Vietnamese, and now I am certified to teach the course.
