About Yinmin
I am currently an academic tutor teaching programming classes at UTAS. I am from China who has two master's degrees (one is IT at the University of Tasmania, and the other is engineering at the University of Glasgow, UK). I also have two year's working experience. I can teach students of different levels (high school to uni) and different purposes. Unlike academic focus, I am more focused on practical education which can prepare students for their future careers at an earlier age. Through the study, students can obtain at least one year of independent software development-related work experience, including web development (HTML/CSS/JS), back-end programming (JAVA/PHP/C#), and database technologies (MySQL/Oracle).

My teaching method is step by step and from theory to practice. I always believe basic knowledge is the most important for any study. I will spend a lot of classes that just consolidate the student's understanding of how/what/why we do it this way. Although it will take more time in the beginning, they will learn extremely fast afterward. Also, it will not be a problem for them to learn something new as long as they already have an understanding of the fundamental logic behind, as everyone knows that technology emerges so quickly nowadays!
