About Yugo

Hey! I'm Yugo, a second-year student at the University of Toronto, originally from the United States. I scored a 1540 on the SAT (780 Math / 760 Reading), placing me in the 99th percentile, and I went through the American university admissions process myself.

I'm half Japanese, half Canadian and am comfortable speaking a little bit of French/Japanese if it's comfortable for you! I am able to travel so long as it's in the general area of downtown Toronto, preferably not too far (~2 - 3km) from campus as I live slightly west of there.

I offer personalized 1-on-1 SAT tutoring for high school students, covering SAT Math, Reading & Writing, plus test strategy, timing, and study planning.

My rate is $40/hr CAD, and I'm happy to share my official College Board score report on request — feel free to message me with any questions

Hi! My name is Yugo, and I am a second-year UofT student from New York who scored a 1540 on the SAT.

My typical plan would go something like this:

We would diagnose exactly where you're losing points after completing some timed exams so we make sure you are managing your questions and time properly.

I'll follow up with targeted practice towards the sections that you struggle with, and some strategy practice on how to eliminate wrong answers, as understanding this is a big part of performing well on the SAT.

I am actually from the US myself, and so I have lots of experience with the general SAT process, and am confident that I'll be able to teach you the tips and tricks they taught to us and guarantee your success! All my sessions are 1 on 1, in person in downtown Toronto or online at any location
