About Maria
I am a third year kinesiology student at the University of Toronto with a 3.65/4.0 cumulative GPA. I am an enthusiastic tutor with one year of experience working with kids (as a caregiver and tutor). I have Emergency Child Care First Aid with CPR/AED Level B Certification, as I value health and safety. My main goal with tutoring is to foster success in the classroom (whatever that might look like to you) and I hope that this can be a valuable learning opportunity for the both of us.

When teaching, I follow the Gradual Release of Responsibility Model. I can help with homework assignments, test/exam preparation and implementing study strategies. I offer tutoring services at the elementary and high school level, either online or in person. I mainly tutor math (with the exception of grade 12 data management). However, I am able to tutor most elementary school subjects and grade 9-10 science. I am located slightly west of downtown Toronto and flexible with my schedule.
