Hi, I am Muqing. I am a dedicated and highly analytical educator with a profound passion for mathematics and statistics. My academic journey includes a Bachelor of Statistics, a Master of Bioinformatics, and my current role as a PhD candidate at UNSW, where I work daily with complex quantitative models and data analysis.

Beyond my rigorous academic research, I am deeply committed to the field of education. I am actively advancing my pedagogical skills through a Master of Secondary Teaching, specializing in Mathematics and Science. This unique blend of high-level technical expertise and formal teaching methodology allows me to adapt to different learning styles and break down intimidating topics into clear, manageable concepts.

About the lesson

Teaching Methodology

My teaching approach focuses on breaking down abstract mathematical and statistical concepts into intuitive, real-world applications. I adapt my style to each student's unique pace, leveraging clear visual explanations and interactive practice to ensure complex formulas make complete sense.

Lesson Structure

A typical lesson is 1 to 1.5 hours long, which allows sufficient time to review difficult concepts, work through challenging practice problems together, and establish a confident routine for independent study.

Qualifications & Experience

I bring a deep academic background in data and mathematics, holding a Bachelor of Statistics, a Master of Bioinformatics (Advanced), and currently conducting advanced research as a PhD candidate. My experience includes guiding students through rigorous quantitative coursework, transforming intimidating datasets and complex mathematical theories into accessible, clear, and manageable concepts.

Target Audience

My lessons are tailored for high school students (including HSC preparation) and university undergraduate students who want to excel in general mathematics, advanced calculus, probability, and foundational or advanced statistics.
