About Shefali
Hi! I’m Shefali, a Master of Information Technology student at UNSW and an Electronics and Communication Engineering graduate with a strong passion for mathematics and technology. I’ve always enjoyed problem-solving and logical thinking, and mathematics has been the foundation of both my engineering and IT studies. Over the years, I’ve realized that many students find math challenging not because it’s difficult, but because they haven’t been taught in a way that connects concepts to real understanding. That’s what motivates me to teach I love helping students move from confusion to confidence. I enjoy breaking complex topics into simple, relatable ideas and showing how math applies to real-world problems, from engineering systems to computer algorithms.

As a Master of IT student at UNSW and an Electronics and Communication Engineering graduate, I combine strong analytical and technical skills with a clear, structured approach to teaching mathematics. My goal is to help students not only solve problems but also understand the logic behind every concept.
I begin each session by identifying the student’s current understanding and any gaps in knowledge. I then explain concepts using real-life examples and visual techniques, breaking complex ideas into simple, intuitive steps. I encourage students to think critically and develop confidence in tackling problems independently.
A typical lesson lasts about 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the student’s needs and focus level. Each class includes a short review of previous topics, concept explanation, guided examples, and practice questions with feedback.
Overall, my teaching style is interactive, patient, and goal-oriented, ensuring that students not only improve their grades but also build long-term confidence in mathematics.
