About Joel
I am a violin tutor with 7+ years of experience and a BM in Music Education, focusing on Orchestral Strings. I have directed youth orchestras, string ensembles, and group violin classes. My approach emphasizes chamber music, collaborative playing, and expressive performance. I specialize in section leadership, ensemble tuning, dynamics, and building team musicianship. This teaching approach focuses on mastering bowing for expressive violin playing. Students practice detaché, spiccato, legato, and other strokes.
