About Ivy
I am a piano tutor with more than 3 years of teaching experience and a BM in Jazz Piano Performance. Collaboration defines my musical identity. I specialize in teaching accompaniment skills for singers, instrumentalists, and choirs. Playing with others is a craft. I focus on reading lead sheets smoothly and transposing in real time. Rhythm is central to everything. Students also learn to adapt across styles with ease. Jazz, classical, pop, and more are explored. My teaching approach is flexible and student-focused. I teach school students and adult learners alike. Professional accompanists are also welcome. I’ve guided students from Beginner to Advanced levels. I teach piano with performance in mind. Strong technique supports confidence. I help students understand and manage performance anxiety. Simple mental tools make a big difference. Stage presence is practiced regularly. Students learn how to appear calm and professional. Memorization methods are taught step by step. This reduces fear during performances. I prepare students carefully for recitals and auditions. Practice is focused and purposeful. I work well with students who face pressure while performing. Confidence grows with preparation. My goal is to help students perform with clarity and artistry.
