I have been passionately involved in ESL tutoring and supporting newcomers to Canada for nearly 8 years. My background includes extensive experience in helping high school students navigate their English classes and achieve fluency in reading, writing, and speaking. My dedication to teaching stems from a genuine love for helping others succeed and a commitment to making learning enjoyable and effective. In addition to my teaching experience, I am a Human Resources professional. This dual expertise allows me to offer additional support in resume building and interview coaching for newcomers to Canada. About the lesson

Since 2017, I have been dedicated to helping ESL students and newcomers to Canada achieve fluency and academic success in English. My teaching methodology is personalized and student-centered, ensuring that each lesson is tailored to meet your unique needs and goals. In a typical lesson, we start with a warm-up activity or discussion to engage you and set the stage for learning. The core of the lesson focuses on targeted skill development—whether it's expanding vocabulary, enhancing grammar, or practicing conversation. I use a variety of interactive materials and real-world scenarios to make learning practical and enjoyable. Lessons often include multimedia resources, interactive exercises, and practical applications to reinforce your understanding and keep you engaged. Additionally, I provide practice activities designed to reinforce the day’s lesson, followed by a feedback session to clarify doubts and guide your progress. This approach ensures comprehensive skill development and steady improvement.

I met Ellen through a classmate who had been meeting with her help him learn English after he moved here from Korea. I moved here from Korea years ago, but still a bit struggle with pronunciation. She worked with me on coaching me a bit with interview training as I had an important one coming up and really help me to get the job.

Ellen is a great ESL teacher, she helped me feel more confident going into an interview I wasn't feeling very good about and I ended up getting the job.
She also helped me with my schedule because I had a lot of other things going on and she was able to be flexible enough to work around them which I appreciated.
