About Vivienne

I’m an English tutor with over 9 years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in English and Creative Writing, specializing in Applied Linguistics. I focus on English for Academic Purposes (EAP), helping students navigate the language demands of university life. I’ve worked closely with both undergraduate and postgraduate students, especially international learners preparing for academic success. I guide students through writing academic essays, research papers, and reflective reports. We focus on structuring clear arguments, using formal vocabulary, and referencing correctly in APA, MLA, or other citation styles. I also teach listening strategies for lectures and help improve note-taking and reading comprehension. Understanding how to express complex ideas in English takes practice, and I’m here to make that process easier. I tailor lessons to match your course needs and help you meet academic expectations with confidence. Whether you’re aiming to improve writing, listening, or presentation skills, we’ll work step by step to get you there. Academic English can be challenging, but it’s also incredibly rewarding. About the lesson

My English lessons are student-centered, supportive, and designed with real progress in mind. I help students who are preparing for IELTS or TOEFL exams by focusing on writing, reading, listening, and speaking — using methods that make each part easier to understand. We practice past questions, vocabulary building, and useful grammar patterns.

For grammar review, I like to keep things simple and practical. Instead of just memorizing rules, we use them in conversation and writing so you can remember and apply them naturally. I also work with learners who need English for everyday life — whether it’s for travel, work, or moving to an English-speaking country.

I offer speaking practice for things like ordering food, booking a hotel, or having a friendly chat with someone new. These small conversations are powerful for building confidence. I’m patient, flexible, and always focused on helping you meet your goals.
