About Bella
I am a University of Waterloo math student who enjoys helping others understand and appreciate mathematics. Through my experience with peer tutoring throughout high school and volunteering at a daycare, I have developed patience and strong communication skills when working with students of different ages and learning styles.
I also enjoy art, which has helped me think creatively and explain ideas in different ways. I like finding creative solutions when teaching math, whether that means using visual explanations, breaking problems into smaller steps, or approaching a concept from a new perspective. My goal is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence, and improving their skills.

My tutoring approach focuses on personalized learning. Every student understands math differently, so I adapt my teaching style to match how each student learns best. I am very open to different learning styles and working with students to find the methods that help them understand concepts best. A typical lesson includes reviewing questions, working through concepts step by step, and practicing problems together.
I have experience as a peer tutor throughout high school and have also volunteered at a daycare, which helped me learn how to communicate patiently with younger students. As a University of Waterloo math student, I enjoy helping both students who need extra support and those who want a greater challenge, including students interested in competition math and deeper problem solving.
