About Mohammed

Hello! My name is Mohammed, and I am an Applied Statistics graduate from the University of Toronto with over four years of experience tutoring mathematics. I am passionate about helping students build confidence in their abilities and develop a stronger understanding of math.

I believe that every student can succeed with the right guidance and support. By creating a positive and patient learning environment, I help students feel comfortable asking questions and working through challenging problems. Professionalism, reliability, and clear communication are always priorities in every lesson.

With a strong background in mathematics and statistics, I explain concepts in a clear and structured way that helps students truly understand the material. Many students find that once the concepts are broken down step by step, math becomes much more manageable and even enjoyable.

I work with students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 and am committed to helping each student reach their academic goals, whether that means improving grades, preparing for tests, or strengthening foundational math skills for long term success.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology focuses on building a strong foundation before moving into more advanced concepts. I begin by identifying where a student may be struggling and then break down complex topics into smaller, easier steps. I believe that students learn best when they actively participate, so I encourage questions, problem solving, and discussion during every lesson. I also use real examples and visual explanations to help students truly understand the material instead of just memorizing formulas.

A typical lesson usually starts with a quick review of previous material to reinforce understanding. Then we go over the current topic the student is learning in school, where I explain concepts clearly and work through examples together. After that, the student practices solving problems while receiving step by step guidance and feedback. At the end of the session, I review key points and share helpful study strategies so the student can feel more confident completing homework and preparing for tests.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to adapt each lesson to the student’s learning pace and needs. I focus on helping students understand the reasoning behind math concepts rather than simply memorizing procedures. When students understand the logic behind the material, they tend to build confidence and improve their overall performance.

These lessons are designed for students from Kindergarten through Grade 12 who want help with mathematics. This can include students who need extra support with school material, those preparing for tests and exams, or students who want to strengthen their foundations and get ahead in their studies.
