About Annie

My name is Annie and I am currently a dental student studying a Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy with hopes of becoming a dentist in the future. I have a strong experience tutoring primary school kids in English and Math. Whether you need more support with schoolwork, homework, exam preparation, or foundational skills, I adapt my lessons to your learning style to suit your goals. I find it very rewarding when I see my students make new achievements and reach their goals. I'm passionate about helping all my students unlock their potential and discover that learning can be fun and enjoyable.

About the lesson

I create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and seeking extra help. My English lessons are carefully tailored to each student’s individual needs and goals, with a strong focus on building confidence in core skills such as reading, spelling, grammar, vocabulary, and writing structure before progressing to more challenging and extension work.

Revision is a key part of every lesson, as I believe consistency and reinforcement are essential for students to feel confident and improve. I use a wide range of resources including textbooks, practice exercises, writing tasks, comprehension activities, visual aids, and real-life examples to keep lessons engaging and effective.

Lessons run for one hour, with longer sessions available if needed. Each lesson begins with a brief revision of previous content, followed by focused work on new concepts, along with short brain breaks to maintain engagement and concentration.

I have two years of experience tutoring primary school students, having worked at a tutoring company where I taught children from as young as 5 years old through to Year 6 students. I support students who need extra help alongside school, as well as those who are more advanced and looking to strengthen their skills or complete extension work. No matter the level, every lesson is personalised to suit the student’s goals and learning style.
