I am passionate about the humanities, particularly history, literature and languages. I look forward to sharing this passion with others. Yeats wrote that education is not the filling of a pale but the lighting of a fire; in this vein, while I am results-driven, I also aim to inspire students with a passion for knowledge.
I believe in tailoring my lessons to meet every student’s needs. I will work collaboratively to develop an approach to our lessons; I will also draw on proven learning techniques and my extensive personal experience to develop an effective study plan.
I specialise in English, Modern History, Ancient History, History Extension, French, German and Latin, all of which I am able to teach all up to a very high standard.
I received an ATAR of 98.00, a mark of 97 in Modern History (for which I ranked sixth in New South Wales), 97 in Ancient History and full marks in my History Extension major work. I have maintained strong academic credentials at university, where I currently hold a High Distinction average mark.
