About Angelina

I am a student who has taught for about 2 years. I am fluent in Italian and have been speaking it my entire life and received an A* at GCSE and an A* in my A level and am currently at King's College London university studying History.

About the lesson

I base my lessons on the student's level of understanding by first either teaching the basics or making sure these are secure. I then allow them to develop their vocabulary and conversation skills through a few minutes of conversation each week as I realise this may be difficult for someone who has only learnt Italian at school. What I really disliked myself learning another language at school (French) is the sense of detachment from it that you get from just reading a textbook or doing worksheets and this is different from taking a more interactive approach and learning it like with parents who speak that language.

Angelina was able to translate from Italian to English and viceversa by the time she was 3 years old. She went to Italian school from the age of 10. She speaks and writes Italian as it was her first language . She corrects me from time to time and I was born in Italy. I have seen her teaching and she is patient, thorough and she takes time to teach properly.

I had my first Italian tutoring lesson the other day with Angelina and I loved it! I learnt so much within the hour and thoroughly enjoyed all that I was taught! I’m very excited to continue learning Italian with the help of Angelina and I can’t wait to learn more so I can hopefully speak fluently in the future!
