About Jennifer

I am only really starting out as a tutor, in the official sense, I have always helped people with English. My little boy is five years old and has a speech deals due to the mechanics of his tongue, he is currently in a speech therapy placement, because of this I have done a great deal of research and homework on all of the things that I can do to help him on his way. Through the use of cv words and sounds, to looking at phonetics and even some sign language. I don't have a vast amount of experience stories as I am knew to this, but the only way to gain experience is to start, so I hope you will choose me. ☺️

About the lesson

I'm a mum that works in retail, I recently enrolled back into University. It's never too late. I teach English from as young as primary and secondary school, using the curriculum to stay accurate.
I completed my English GCSEs in year 9 at just 13 years old, I then went on to study English at AS level for my remaining two years of high school. I follow the curriculums carefully to ensure that I am teaching with the correct tools and most up to date techniques. I am by no means a genius but I can teach the core elements that you need for basic English. Specifically the creative side, I am currently writing my first book and have a lengthy file of poetry. I particularly enjoy 17th century poetry, I also still have all of my English source books from school, for example, Wuthering Heights, Death of A Salesman, Little Women and Othello. The latter of which I saw at the theatre with my school and thoroughly enjoyed it. I have a huge passion for English and would love to help others with the same passion.
