About Adnaan

Hi! I'm Adnaan, and I'm studying Modern Languages (French, Spanish, and German) at the University of Cambridge! I'm also a big fan of English - I almost applied for it at University so I'm definitely a big literature nerd! I'm also involved in lots of things such as debating, powerlifting, creative writing and photography, so if you have any questions about that, feel free to ask. I enjoy my university course especially because I can combine two of my favourite things at A-Level -- learning languages whilst also studying literature from all over Europe.

GCSEs and A-Levels are extremely stressful as it seems like your life seems to be on the line when regurgitating all the information you need to know in the exam, but I aim to make it a much less stressful time.

I've been tutoring English for three years at GCSE and A-Level, and have a 100% pass rate. I've had many students receive A/A* grades at A Level or GCSE this year, and I am extremely dedicated to helping my students achieve their fullest potential. About the lesson

I structure my lessons by allocating half of the lesson to learning content and revising knowledge, whilst spending the other half applying this to sample exam questions/essay plans, or for languages, sample speaking/writing questions. By this, I aim to get students to understand how the exam works from the get go, so that the pressure in the exam hall feels much less than it should be! I will measure my students progress by seeing how they improve when they are given essay questions/sample exercises over the course of our scheduled lessons - and if there is anything that needs to be worked on, I will make a note of it to go over and hone in future lessons.
