About Nomfundo
Hello and welcome!
I am currently the Head of the English Department at my school and am passionate about helping learners develop confidence and competence in English. I take great pride in being professional, organized, and meticulous in my approach, ensuring that every lesson is purposeful and tailored to a learner's individual needs.
I believe that English is about far more than simply passing assessments; it is about learning to communicate effectively, think critically, and express ideas with confidence. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where learners feel comfortable asking questions, challenging themselves, and celebrating their progress.

I am a qualified educator with two Education qualifications from the University of Pretoria and over six years of experience teaching English Home Language. I have taught both primary and high school learners and am experienced in the IEB and CAPS curricula.
My lessons are tailored to each learner's needs, whether they require support with grammar, comprehension, literature, essay writing, speeches, prepared reading or exam preparation. I believe that learners achieve their best when they feel comfortable, supported and actively involved in the learning process.
My teaching style is engaging, encouraging and focused on building both confidence and academic skills. A typical lesson includes clear explanations, guided practice and opportunities for learners to apply what they have learned.
I teach in English and work with learners from upper primary school through to high school. My goal is to help learners improve their results while developing a genuine appreciation for the English language.
